Is Jesus Jehovah?

This group of topics I put together is something you may want to memorize or copy and have them ready when the JW’s show up at your door. Below is the link to searching their Bible on the internet, you have to know what chapter and verse you’re looking for, it does do word searches like the EGW does, it’s not very effective but not impossible to use. Click on the + or * at the end of a sentence and it will give you a reference to other verses, but don’t take all their referencing to seriously.

NWT New World Translation: KJV Kings James Version

Is Jesus Jehovah

NWT Isaiah 43:11 I—I am Jehovah,+ and besides me there is no savior.”+ 12  “I am the One who declared and saved and made known When there was no foreign god among you.+ So you are my witnesses,” declares Jehovah, “and I am God.+ 13  Also, I am always the same One;+ And no one can snatch anything out of my hand.

NWT Isaiah 45:21…Is it not I, Jehovah, besides whom there is no other God and a saviour, there being none excepting me. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

NWT 2 Tim. 1:10 but now it has been made clearly evident through the manifestation of our Savior, Christ Jesus,+ who has abolished death+ and has shed light on life+ and incorruption+ through the good news,+

NWT Titus 1:4 to Titus, a genuine child according to the faith we share: May you have undeserved kindness and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

NWT John 4:42 and they said to the woman: “We no longer believe just because of what you said; for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the savior of the world.”+

NWT Act’s 4:11 This is ‘the stone that was treated by you builders as of no account that has become the chief cornerstone.’*+ 12 Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is no other name+ under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”

NWT Phil. 3:20 But our citizenship+ exists in the heavens,+ and we are eagerly waiting for a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,+ [It’s confusing to say “a savior” and “the Lord Jesus Christ” in the same sentence]

NWT John 5:45 Do not think that I [Jesus speaking] will accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you, Moses,+ in whom you have put your hope. 46 In fact, if you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me.+ 47  But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe what I say?”  (Jesus said Moses wrote about him, never mentions the name Jesus he always calls Him Jehovah.)

NWT Hosea 13:4 But I am Jehovah your God, from the land of Egypt, and no God except me did you use to know; and there was no saviour but I.

NWT John 20:26 Well, eight days later his disciples were again indoors, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and he stood in their midst and said: “May you have peace.”+ 27  Next he said to Thomas: “Put your finger here, and see my hands, and take your hand and stick it into my side, and stop doubting* but believe.” 28 In answer Thomas said to him: “My Lord and my God!”

(Jehovah said he was God and there is none else, and Thomas affirms Jesus to be Lord and God. This testimony from Thomas is from a man who talked with Jesus, and spent years with Him, listened to His teaching, ate the last supper with Him, and seen Him after His resurrection, and seen Him enter a room through a locked door.)

NWT Titus 2:13 while we wait for the happy hope + and glorious manifestation of the great God and of our Savior, Jesus Christ,

NWT Titus 3:6 He poured this spirit out richly* on us through Jesus Christ our Savior,+

NWT 2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a slave and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have acquired a faith as precious as ours* through the righteousness of our God and the Savior Jesus Christ:

Verse 11 In fact, in this way you will be richly granted* entrance into the everlasting Kingdom+ of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.+

NWT 2 Peter 2:20 Certainly if after escaping from the defilements of the world+ by an accurate knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they get involved again with these very things and are overcome, their final state has become worse for them than the first.+ And 3:18 No, but go on growing in the undeserved kindness and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

NWT Act’s 4:11 “This is ‘the stone that was treated by you builders as of no account that has become the chief cornerstone.’*+ 12 Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is no other name+ under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”+

NWT 1John 4:14 “In addition, we ourselves have seen and are bearing witness that the Father has sent his Son as Savior of the world.”+

So, if there is no savior besides Jehovah, and Jesus is the savior of the world, then only the name has been changed. There are over 300 names for Jesus in the Bible and Jehovah is just one of them; you’re not saved by name calling.

NWT Isaiah 9:6 “For a child has been born to us,+ A son has been given to us; And the rulership* will rest on his shoulder.+ His name will be called Wonderful Counselor,+ Mighty God,+ Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”

NWT Matt 1:20 “Look the virgin will become pregnant and will give birth to a son and they shall call his name Immanuel which means, when translated, With us is God. “21 She will give birth to a son, and you must call his name ‘Jesus’, for he will save his people from their sins.”

NWT Luke 2:11 “For today there was born to you in David’s city+ a savior,+ who is Christ the Lord.+ 12 And this is a sign for you: You will find an infant wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a manger.”

KJV John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.”

KJV John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

Jehovah’s Witnesses Keeps God’s Commandments

NWT Isaiah 43:10 “You are my witnesses,”+ declares Jehovah, “Yes, my servant whom I have chosen,+ So that you may know and have faith in me*And understand that I am the same One.+ Before me no God was formed, And after me there has been none.+ 11 I—I am Jehovah,+ and besides me there is no savior.”+ 12  “I am the One who declared and saved and made known When there was no foreign god among you.+ So you are my witnesses,” declares Jehovah, “and I am God.+ 13  Also, I am always the same One;+ And no one can snatch anything out of my hand.”

In Isaiah 42;24 just 12 verses before 43:10, the modern day JW’S refuse to walk in the law of Jehovah, and again in Isaiah 51:7 yet they claim to be His witnesses, witnesses to what?

NWT Isaiah 42:24 “Who has given Jacob for pillage And Israel to the plunderers? Is it not Jehovah, the One against whom we sinned? In His ways they refused to walk, And His law* they would not obey.+25  So He kept pouring out on him wrath,”

NWT Isaiah 51:7 “Listen to me, you who know righteousness, The people with my law* in their heart. + Do not be afraid of the taunts of mortal men, And do not be terrified because of their insults.”

Righteousness is the right doing of the law. The JW’S do not know righteousness, they do not honor the law of God, therefore they are not Jehovah Witnesses, they, are, imposters. They believe what comes out of New York rather than what comes out of their Bible.

NWT Mark 7:6 “He (Jesus speaking) said to them: “Isaiah aptly prophesied about you hypocrites, as it is written, ‘This people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far removed from me.+ [Me is referring to Jesus Christ] 7:8  You let go of the commandment of God and cling to the tradition of men.”+ 7:9  Further, he said to them: “You skillfully disregard the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition.”

Sunday keeping is a tradition of the Catholic Church; …NWT Romans 6:16  “Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey,+ either of sin+ leading to death+ or of obedience leading to righteousness?”

All who observe Sunday are Catholics, like it or not that’s the way it works, you are a servant to whom you obey. Muslims observe Friday they are servants to Mohamad. Sabbath observance; you are servant to Jehovah, the choice is yours.

NWT John 14:15 “If you love me, you will observe my commandments.”+

What must I do to inherit eternal life

NWT Matt. 19:16 “Now look! someone came up to him and said: “Teacher, what good must I do to gain everlasting life?”+ 17 He said to him: “Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is who is good.+ If, though, you want to enter into life, observe the commandments continually.”+  18 He said to him: “Which ones?” Jesus said: “You must not murder,+ you must not commit adultery,+ you must not steal,+ you must not bear false witness,+ 19https://www.jw.org/en/publications/bible/nwt/books/matthew/19/ - v40019019 honor your father and your mother,+ and you must love your neighbor as yourself.”+ 20 (This is our duty to our fellow man the first table is our duty to God)

NWT Matthew 5:17 [Jesus speaking] “Do not think I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I came, not to destroy, but to *fulfill.+ 18 Truly I say to you that sooner would heaven and earth pass away than for one smallest letter or one stroke of a letter to pass away from the Law until all things take place.+ 19 Whoever, therefore, breaks one of these least commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in relation to the Kingdom of the heavens. But whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in relation to the Kingdom of the heavens.”

*fulfill the obligation of keeping the law

NWT Heb. 4:8 “For if Joshua had led them to a place of rest, God would not afterward have spoken of another Day. 9 So there remains a sabbath resting for the people of God. 10 For the man that has entered into God’s rest has also Himself rested from his own works just as God from his own. 11 Let us therefore do our uttermost to enter into that rest, for fear anyone should fall in the same example of disobedience.”

NWT Act’s 16:30 He brought them outside and said: “Sirs, what must I do to get saved?” 31 They said: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will get saved, you and your household.”

NWT Ex 20:8 “Remembering the sabbath day to hold it sacred 9 you are to render service and must do all your work in six days 10 But the seventh day is a sabbath to Jehovah your God” (They say the seventh day is A Sabbath, compare with Luke 4:16 and 31)

NWT Luke 4:16 “He then went to Nazʹa·reth,+ where he had been brought up, and according to his custom on the Sabbath day, he entered the synagogue+ and stood up to read.” (on the Sabbath)

NWT Luke 4:31 “He then went down to Ca·perʹna·um, a city of Galʹi·lee. And he was teaching them on the Sabbath,” + (In Exodus they say A Sabbath now they say THE Sabbath, very confusing)

NWT Luke 1:5 “In the days of Herod,*+ king of Ju·deʹa, there was a priest named Zech·a·riʹah of the division of A·biʹjah.+ His wife was from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.

1:6 They were both righteous before God because of walking blamelessly in accord with all the commandments and legal requirements of Jehovah.” (Both are counted righteous before God because they were walking blamelessly in accordance with all the commandments of God)

NWT Hosea 4:6 “My people will be silenced,* [* Margin Destroyed] because there is no knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge,+ I will also reject you from serving as my priest; And because you have forgotten the law* of your God,+ I myself will forget your sons.”

And might I add He will forget you too. Rejecting knowledge is what they are taught to do; they will destroy everything you give them, so the best thing to do is to show it to them from their own Bible.

KJV I John. 3:4 “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” (Romans 3:20 …the law is the knowledge of sin)

NWT 1 John. 3:4 “Everyone who practices sin is also practicing lawlessness and so sin is lawlessness.”

NWT Romans 7:7 “What, then, are we to say? Is the Law sin? Certainly not! Really, I would not have come to know sin had it not been for the Law.+ For example, I would not have known covetousness if the Law had not said: “You must not covet.”+ (Coveting is forbidden in the 10th commandment)

NWT Romans 7:12 “Wherefore on its part, the law is holy, and the commandments is holy and righteous and good”

NWT Hebrew 4:4 “For in one place he has said of the seventh day as follows: “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works,”+ 5  and here again he says: “They will not enter into my rest.”+

6  Therefore, since it remains for some to enter into it, and those to whom the good news was first declared did not enter in because of disobedience,+ 7 he again marks off a certain day by saying long afterward in David’s psalm, “Today”; just as it has been said above, “Today if you listen to his voice, do not harden your hearts.”+ 8  For if *Joshua+ had led them into a place of rest, God would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9  So there remains a sabbath-rest for the people of God.+ 10  For the man who has entered into God’s rest has also rested from his own works, just as God did from his own.+ 11 Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall into the same pattern of disobedience.+

Jehovah is our Judge Jesus is our Judge

NWT Isa 33:22 “For Jehovah is our judge, Jehovah is our Statute-giver, Jehovah is our king; he himself will save us.”

NWT Act’s 17:31 “Because he has set a day on which he purposes to judge+ the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and he has provided a guarantee to all men by resurrecting him from the dead.”+ (they will be judged in righteousness; so what is righteousness???)

NWT Isaiah 51:7 “Listen to me, you who know righteousness, The people with my law* in their heart. + Do not be afraid of the taunts of mortal men, And do not be terrified because of their insults.”

NWT Romans 2:16 This will take place in the day when God through Christ Jesus judges the secret things of mankind,+ according to the good news I declare.”

NWT James 2:12 “Keep on speaking and behaving in such a way as those do who are going to be judged by the law of a free people.” (The free people are those that keep all the Commandments of God)

NWT John 5:22 “For the Father judges no one at all, but he has entrusted all the judging to the Son,”+

NWT 1 John 2:4 “He that says, “I have come to know him” and yet is not observing his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in this person”

Jehovah is the creator and Jesus is the creator

NWT Ps 33:6 “By the word of Jehovah the heavens themselves were made.”

KJV Ephesians 3:9 “And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

NWT Ephesians 3:8 … the unfathomable riches of the Christ 9 and should make everyone see the administration of the sacred secret+ that has been hidden through the ages in God, who created all things.” (They exalt the name, Jehovah, like Rome does with Mary, yet Jesus is vailed in all their secrecy.)

NWT John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word,+ and the Word was with God,+and the Word was a god.*+ 2 This one was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into existence through him,+ and apart from him not even one thing came into existence.”

KJV Heb. 1:1 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,”

2 “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”

NWT John 1:14 “So the Word became flesh+ and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs to an only-begotten son+ from a father; and he was full of divine favor* and truth.”

NWT Rev. 19:13 “and he is arrayed with an outer garment sprinkled with blood, and the name he is called is the Word of God.”

What was nailed to the stake

NWT Colossians 2:14 “and erased* the handwritten document+ that consisted of decrees+ and was in opposition to us.+ He has taken it out of the way by nailing it to the torture stake.”*

NWT Deuteronomy 31:24 “As soon as Moses had completed writing the words of this Law in a book in their entirety,+ 25  Moses commanded the Levites who carry the ark of Jehovah’s covenant, saying: 26  “Take this book of the Law+ and place it at the side of the ark+ of the covenant of Jehovah your God, and it will serve as a witness there against you.” (In Colossians 2:14 it’s a “handwritten document” in Deut. 31:24 it’s the law that Moses wrote.

KJV Colossians 2:14 “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;”

KJV Chronicles 33:8 … “so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.”

(NWT has totally messes up 2 Chronicles 33:8)

NWT Exodus 31:17 “It is an enduring sign between me and the people of Israel,+ for in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth and on the seventh day he rested and refreshed himself.’”+

18 Now as soon as he had finished speaking with him on Mount Siʹnai, he gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony,+ tablets of stone written on by God’s finger.”+

(“an enduring sign” is the keeping of the 7th day Sabbath, not saying it has been done away with, it was written on tables of stone showing its endurance.)

NWT 1 Kings 8:9 “There was nothing in the Ark but the two stone tablets+ that Moses placed there+ at Hoʹreb, when Jehovah made a covenant+ with the people of Israel while they were coming out of the land of Egypt.”+

The hand written document; that is the document written by Moses in a book was put in the outside pocket of the ark while the tables of stone, written by the finger of God were placed inside the ark. Only the hand written document was nailed to the cross.

NWT James 2:10 “For if anyone obeys all the Law but makes a false step in one point, he has become an offender against all of it.+ 11  For the one who said, “You must not commit adultery,”+ also said, “You must not murder.”+ If, now, you do not commit adultery but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of law. 12  Keep on speaking and behaving in such a way as those do who are going to be judged by the law of a free people.”*+

(How can you be guilty of a law they claim to have been done away with? Who are the free people? What law is the law of the free people?  Well verse 11 mentions the 6th and 7th commandments of the Ten Commandments, so therefore the Ten Commandments is the law of the free people because there is no other law that contains these two commandments. By keeping all the Ten Commandments and a trust in Jesus to forgive us of our sins, we become free from the law by obeying it. The law can only condemn you, only by keeping it, it can save you)

A woman in Bible Prophecy Represents a Church

NWT Jerimiah 6:2 “The daughter of Zion resembles a beautiful and delicate woman.”+

NWT 2 Corinthians 11:2 “For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy,* for I personally promised you in marriage to one husband that I might present you as a chaste* virgin to the Christ.”+

NWT Revelation 17:4 “The woman was clothed in purple+ and scarlet, and she was adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls,+ and she had in her hand a golden cup that was full of disgusting things and the unclean things of her sexual immorality.* 5  On her forehead was written a name, a mystery: “Babylon the Great, the mother of the prostitutes+ and of the disgusting things of the earth.”+ 6 And I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus.+ Well, on seeing her I was greatly amazed.”

The JW’S know that this woman in Rev. 17:4-6 is the Roman Catholic Church, but those I meet don’t seem to understand that the other woman in Rev. 12:17 the dragon is fighting against is the church that keeps all the commandments of God.

NWT Revelation 12:17 “So the dragon became enraged at the woman and went off to wage war with the remaining ones of her offspring,*+ who observe the commandments of God and have the work of bearing witness concerning Jesus.”+

There are only two women in Bible prophecy; the mother of the prostitutes in Rev. 17:5 and the one in NWT Rev. 12:17 “So the dragon became enraged at the woman…. Who observe the commandments of God” ….

If you’re not observing all the Commandments of God then you’re of the mother of harlots as the KJV says, or according to the NWT you’re with the mother of prostitutes. The woman represents a church… and there are only two choices … you either keep the commandments of Jehovah or you’re with the mother of prostitutes, there is no third choices.

NWT Exodus 20:6 “but showing loyal love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.”+

NWT John 14:15 “If you love me, you will observe my commandments.”+

Jesus says in the NWT John 14:15 “if you love me observe my commandments” and Jehovah in NWT Exodus 20:6 says “keep my commandments” again showing the two are the same.

NWT Exodus 8  7 “You must not take up the name of Jehovah your God in a worthless way,+ for Jehovah will not leave unpunished the one who takes up His name in a worthless way.+ “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it sacred.+ 9 You are to labor and do all your work for six days,+ 10  but the  seventh day is a sabbath to Jehovah your God. You must not do any work, neither you nor your son nor your daughter nor your slave man nor your slave girl nor your domestic animal nor your foreign resident who is inside your settlements.*+ 11  For in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and he began to rest on the seventh day.+ That is why Jehovah blessed the Sabbath day and made it sacred.”

Jehovah and Jesus are coming in the clouds of heaven

NWT Rev. 1:7 “Look! He is coming with the clouds,+ and every eye will see him, and those who pierced him; … 8 “I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga,”*+ says Jehovah* God, “the One who is and who was and who is coming, the Almighty.”+ (the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga; Jehovah* God, the Almighty and Jesus, these four are all the same.)

NWT Isaiah 9:6 :For a child has been born to us,+ A son has been given to us; And the rulership* will rest on his shoulder.+ His name will be called Wonderful Counselor,+ Mighty God,+ Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” (The child born unto us is Jesus the Mighty God or the Almighty)

NWT Rev. 22:12 “Look! I am coming quickly, and the reward I give is with me, to repay each one

according to his work.+ 13 I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga,*+ the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

NWT Rev. 22:20 “The one who bears witness of these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen! Come Lord Jesus.”

(The Alpha and Omega in 22:12 is coming quickly and 8 verses later in verse 20 Jesus is coming quickly.)

NWT John 26:63 “But Jesus kept silent.+ So the high priest said to him: “I put you under oath by the living God to tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God!”+  64 Jesus said to him: “You yourself said it. But I say to you: From now on you will see the Son of man+ sitting at the right hand of power+ and coming on the clouds of heaven.”+

NWT Act’s 1:11 …“Men of Galʹi·lee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus who was taken up from you into the sky will come in the same manner as you have seen him going into the sky.”

The Lord’s Day

NWT Rev. 1:10 By inspiration I came to be in the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a strong voice like that of a trumpet,

NWT Isaiah 58:13 If because of the Sabbath you refrain* from pursuing your own interests* on my holy day+And you call the Sabbath an exquisite delight, a holy day of Jehovah, a day to be glorified,+And you glorify it rather than pursuing your own interests and speaking idle words,

The three following quotes are comparisons from the NWT that differ from all other Bibles, and they are written almost identical to the KJV.

NWT Rev. 1:1 A revelation* by Jesus Christ, which God gave him….

KJV Rev. 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, ….

NWT John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word,+ and the Word was with God,+ and the Word was a god.

KJV John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

NWT Ex. 20:10 But the seventh day is a sabbath to Jehovah your God

KJV Ex. 20:10  But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God:

A quote from the 1912-14 Ed. of the Catholic Encyclopedia showing it was the Catholic Church that change the Sabbath to Sunday; [along with many other sources not mentioned] and was not changed by Jesus as many claim.

“At the beginning of the sixth century St. Caesarius, as we have seen and others, showed an inclination to apply the law of the Jewish Sabbath to the observance of the Christian Sunday. The council held at Orleans in 538 reprobate this tendency as Jewish and non-Christian.” 1912 Edition Catholic Encyclopedia page 336.

There is no such thing in the Bible as a Jewish Sabbath, or a Christian Sunday, the Bible Sabbath is always in reference to Saturday, the Sabbath of the Lord, the Lord’s day. The Bible only supports one Sabbath and that is Saturday the 7th Day Sabbath, check your calendar.

This is what the JW’S teach about Gods Holy Seventh-Day Sabbath

If you study these carefully you will see how they continually contradict themselves.

NWT Isa. 66:22 “For just as the new heavens and the new earth that I am making are standing before me,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “so the offspring of YOU people and the name of YOU people will keep standing.” 23 “And it will certainly occur that from new moon to new moon and from sabbath to sabbath all flesh will come in to bow down before me,” Jehovah has said.

NWT Rev. 12:17 “So the dragon became enraged at the woman and went off to wage war with the remaining ones of her offspring,*+ who observe the commandments of God and have the work of bearing witness concerning Jesus.+”

NWT Heb. 4:8 For if Joshua had led them into a place of rest, God would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 So there remains a sabbath resting for the people of God. 10 For the man that has entered into God’s rest has also himself rested from his own works, just as God did from his own.

NWT James 2:10 “For whoever observes all the Law but makes a false step in one point, he has become an offender against them all.”

KJV. Matt. 5:17 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”  (Matt. 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. (Jesus did not come to do away with righteousness)

NWT Matt. 19:17… “If, though, you want to enter into life, observe the commandments continually.”

Keeping the Sabbath of the Lord is not a pick and choose day, the Lord commanded the Seventh-Day and no man has the right to say otherwise. The writings of the JW’S waver back and forth saying a Sabbath and the Sabbath. It is the Sabbath of the Lord that contains the seal of God. NWT Isaiah 8:20 “Wrap up the written confirmation;*Seal up the law* among my disciples!” KJV Isaiah 30:15 “For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.” This is where our eternal destiny lies, are we going to obey God or we going to obey man? The Old Testament is full of examples of where the children of Israel refused to keep the commandments of God, they are written for admonition upon whom the end of the world has come, the Sabbath is not a choice, it is our choice whether we keep it or not.

NWT Psalms 19:7, 11 “The law of Jehovah is perfect,+ restoring strength.*+The reminder of Jehovah is trustworthy,+ making the inexperienced one wise.+  Verse 11 By them your servant has been warned;+In keeping them, there is a large reward.”

KJV Psalms 19:7 “The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. Verse 11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.”

NWT Isaiah 30:15 “For this is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, says:“By returning to me and resting, you will be saved;Your strength will be in keeping calm and showing trust.”+But you were unwilling.”
